We are an open access cultural community festival and we encourage you to come and take part. From hosting your own event to performing, taking part in the parade or having a stall at our Festival day, there are plenty of ways you can get involved in the Festival in 2018.

Festival Parade

Our Festival Parade

Last year 250 local children, young people and adults dressed-up and danced through the streets. This year we aim to make it even bigger and better – with your help.

The Parade starts at 12pm but we will meet a little before to get into position and warm up. When we get closer to the day we will send detailed instructions and the route for the day. Following feedback we have shortened the route so it will take no more than half hour. The parade will end in St George’s Square Gardens, where you will join the Gala Day and can take part in all the fun on offer.

Get involved:

We are inviting schools, youth clubs, children’s services and community groups to take part, get creative and be part of their local community.
