Chloe’s Day of Play with SouthWestFest
Date: Saturday 2nd July
Time: 12:00-16:00pm
Location: Churchill Garden’s Square
Who is this event aimed at: For Children, Families and Young People
About this event:
Back by popular demand, drop-by for an afternoon of fun and activities in the open air!
Our Day of Play is back on Saturday 2nd July, and we are dedicating the event to Chloe Balloqui, who passed away earlier this year from Neuroblastoma cancer. Chloe was an inspiration and loved by the whole community in Pimlico, and beyond. We hope this event will be a fitting tribute to her – her amazing strength and love for life.
We will have Circus skills with Stikling Circus, Potato Puppets by 6FootStories, a Planting Workshop with Growing Understandings, with other recycled arts and crafts, face painting, cycling confidence and sustainability activities.
Fancy dress encouraged, wear the colour green to show support for our planet or come adorned with butterfly wings – a favourite of Chloe’s.

Stories of Our Streets – Heritage Project TRAIL with SouthWestFest, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Archives, City Lions and Open Age
Date: 9th July, 10th July
Time: All Day
Location: Train Map TBC
Who is this event aimed at: For All
About this event:
Explore the Heritage Trail, the creations of the participants and learn about the local area. Click on the map and wander around south Westminster at your leisure this weekend.
We’ve created an exciting new element for 2022’s festival that will bring young people and older adults from across south Westminster together to share memories, stories and to learn about their neighbourhoods.
The ‘Stories of Our Streets’ project took place in May and consisted of four guided workshops that explored the stories of the neighbourhoods where participants live and/or grew up in. Working together, participants investigated the history that has shaped their communities, discussing and creatively responding to their memories, investigations and research. Through these guided workshops and walks, participants developed a series of physical, written and recorded responses that form the basis of our two-day Heritage Trail on 9th and 10th July, supported by a small team of local volunteers.
We are also organising a walking tour on each day of the trail with our Trail Leader, exploring the trail – book on our tour page!
