About this event: As a member of Eco Church, St. James the Less is committed to sustainable activities, supporting the local community and, together with the Friends, seeking imaginative solutions to the restoration of this historic Grade-1-listed building. Expert historians will explain the origins of this unique Church within its social context, and the detailed design of George Edmund Street’s vision 160 years ago. After a break for refreshments, specialist architects and engineers will outline our exciting – and challenging – plans to restore the building to its former glory, using sustainable methods where we can. Donations appreciated.
